Please join Transit Forward, AURA, Mayor Kirk Watson, Rep Lloyd Doggett, and others as we celebrate recent wins in transit and look forward to the next step of building a world class transit system for our world class city! The event will be Sunday, Sept 24th at 11am at Cap Metro’s Plaza Saltillo Red Line Station (with a social event afterwards with location TBD).
In the last few months, Austin has defended Project Connect at the State Legislature, decided upon a concrete first phase for our light rail program, seen real progress on updating the Red Line, is in the process of electrify the bus fleet, and will be opening Makalla station next year and applying to the Federal Government for Billions to build out light rail.
