The Austin Transit Partnership Board of Directors approved Resolution ATP-2024-014 that created the Austin Light Rail Advisory Group.

The Austin Light Rail Advisory Group offers technical feedback to the ATP Board & staff on topics related to the implementation and development of Austin Light Rail Phase 1. For more information about the Advisory Group view the Austin Light Rail Advisory Group Charter.
Composition & Application Process
The Advisory Group will be composed of 7 community members appointed by the ATP Board of Directors.
Member Qualifications:
- Resident of the City of Austin or the CapMetro Service Area
- Experience in large-scale capital delivery projects, with a focus on publicly funded capital projects
- Is not a City of Austin, ATP, CapMetro employee or a registered lobbyist
To Apply Provide:
- A resume evidencing relevant experience
- A letter of interest (maximum of 2 pages)
- Completed Residence, Conflict of Interest and Lobbying Form
The materials should be sent to atpboardapp@atptx.org and will serve as the application for the Austin Light Rail Advisory Committee.
The application process is open. Austin Transit Partnership staff will present qualified applicants to the ATP Nominating Committee. The ATP Board will consider an item to appoint the Austin Light Rail Advisory Group members at an upcoming Board Meeting no sooner than March 2025.
