Virtual Town Hall Meeting

Austin Transit Partnership is building a transformative transit project. We are creating a leadership and governance structure to ensure our actions are responsible, accountable, equitable, and transparent.

But we need the community’s help to figure out a governance and leadership model that works for Austin. Help us ask the right questions to get the best answers. View the Preliminary Governance Report from the Eno Center for Transportation – put together to provide the ATP Board, and the Austin community examples of possible governance models in the U.S. and abroad.

Austin Transit Partnership Invites You to A Virtual Town Hall Meeting

Join us at one of the virtual town hall meetings. You will have the opportunity to share insights, concerns, and ask questions on how ATP might best guide Project Connect. Our consultant team is asking for the community’s help to develop the right questions ATP can ask other transit agencies across the U.S. and internationally about their approach to governance and leadership. This town hall will inform an independent analysis that will consider the following priorities when evaluating best practices:

  • Fulfill the Contract with the Voters
  • Delivery on time and on budget
  • Program equity
  • Public trust and compliance with the law

About the Austin Transit Partnership

ATP was formed after Austin voted in November 2020 to implement the $7.1 billion multi-mode rapid transit plan known as Project Connect. The initial Project Connect investment includes building bus rapid transit, light rail and commuter rail infrastructure, including a Downtown transit tunnel, new MetroRapid stations, new MetroExpress commuter bus routes, new park and ride facilities, and a new regional transit center.

Jointly formed by CapMetro and the City of Austin, Austin Transit Partnership serves as the independent local government corporation tasked with implementing Project Connect.

The discussion will also look for community input on how to achieve:
