Deron is responsible for leading development of environmental documentation in compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Additionally, he coordinates information and analysis to support FTA’s Capital Investment Grant (CIG) Program requirements. With over 23 years of experience, Deron’s career spans both the public and private sectors, affording him the opportunity to manage high-capacity transit alternatives analysis and environmental phases of light rail, bus rapid transit, and streetcar projects. Deron graduated with separate BA degrees in Environmental Planning and Sociology from Western Washington’s Huxley College of Environmental Studies and the University of Washington, respectively. Deron was recognized as one of Mass Transit Magazine’s Top 40 under 40 individuals for his contribution to the transit industry. Deron is also a 2019 graduate of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Leadership Program.
