Connect & Build Event May 29
Austin Transit Partnership looks forward to hosting an event to connect small businesses and prime contractors interested in building Austin Light Rail. The event – Connect & Build: Partnerships for Austin Light Rail – is Thursday, May 29. This event offers networking opportunities for local and small businesses to connect with prime contractors intending to pursue the upcoming Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the final design and construction of the OMF. ATP expects to release this solicitation in late summer 2025. To register for the event, please complete the registration form.
Who should attend?
Small businesses that specialize in architecture and engineering design, building and facility construction, site development and civil works, demo and site preparation, streetscape reconstruction, track, and community engagement have been identified as key businesses for networking opportunities for this event, but others are encouraged to attend.
If you have attended a previous event or been identified as a potential partner under another solicitation you are still able to attend the Connect & Build event on May 29.
What can I expect?
The event will provide networking opportunities for small businesses and prime contractors intending to pursue the upcoming contract for the final design and construction of the OMF. ATP staff will be on hand to answer questions about the project and upcoming contracts.
Overview of event schedule:
- 9:00 a.m. – Doors open
- 9:30 a.m. – Project Overview
- 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Networking opportunities. The event is designed to offer a “come and go” networking forum from 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Lunch will be available onsite for purchase during the event.
How do I register?
To register for Connect & Build: Partnerships for Austin Light Rail, please complete the registration form. Registration is required. Registrants are encouraged to RSVP no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23. Registration will close when capacity is reached.
